Pssst! Check Your New Resources 🤩

Hi Reader, welcome to my newsletter!

I can't express how happy I am that you're here. This newsletter will improve your set of resources/tools and make the most of them to maximize your skills and knowledge.

Since May started, I subscribed to a newsletter contest organized by ConvertKit. I've been reading tons of articles on how to create your first newsletter and a landing page for it. To be honest, it's been demanding and challenging but I'm very excited to see how this newsletter goes.

Also, at the beginning of this month I was so curious to know if there was a Product Manager's Day but couldn't find it. When my hope was about to end, I found that Mind the Product has been celebrating a similar initiative since 2018.

So last week was World Product Day! The name feels broad because Product Managers are not the only ones involved in products. But it's good to have a celebration that remind us the value of this role in the industry.

Who knows maybe I should invent a real Product Manager's Day, right?

A quote that inspires me

If you do build a great experience, customers tell each other about that. Word of mouth is very powerful.
- Jeff Bezos

Pro TIP 💡

"Let me look into this", "Let me first discuss with the team and let you know", "I need some time to think about it", "I'll get back to you". Sounds familiar to you? Always ask for ETA. This will help you to convert uncertainity into something actionable and make it tangible.

Your dose of resources 👇

📚 The Product Book

If you ever wondered what a PM should do then this book is for you. A must have for every aspiring PM. The best part? Is entirely FREE!

🗓 #mtpcon Digital Americas

Mind the Product has always conferences and virtual events. Since the pandemic, they've been helping people to learn through these events so check this one out that is for PMs in America.

📊 Product Feature Presentation Template

Last week I had to explain a new product feature at work and I didn't had much time to prepare for it. I knew that creating the presentation in PowerPoint will have consumed much of my time. Luckily, I found this template on Miro with simple instructions of how to build a great and powerful presentation. It took me less than 1 hour to build it. Try it yourself!

🔧 Krisp • Sound clear in every meeting

Since the pandemic started, I needed a tool that helped me to cancel noise in meetings. Currently, I live above a restaurant, so sometimes it's common to hear Mariachi during my calls. Krisp came just in time to suppress all this. Now my colleagues can't hear anything but my voice, but they miss Mariachi sometimes.

🎙 The Rework Podcast

A podcast about a better way to work and run your business, from Basecamp and HEY. I first read the Rework book then I found out about this podcast. The book is incredibly shocking and the podcast is not disappointing at all.

🎧 Brain Food Playlist

I usually listen to songs and sing while I'm not in meetings, of course. But when I really need to concentrate and create a presentation my attention is not the same. This playlist helps me to stay focused and provokes an "urgency" to finish on me. I noticed I type even faster and consolidate ideas rapidly. Give it a try and let me know if it helped you to stay more concentrated.

May in a pic

Hi Reader! I have a question for you today, should we still using the Agile Manifesto? 20 years ago, 17 software practitioners went to ski to the Wasatch mountains in Utah. The intention was to relax, talk, ski and gather around. Believe it or not, the result of that experience was the Agile Manifesto. They discussed an alternative to documentation and heavyweight software development processes. Even though the Agile Manifesto will always be the remembered as a landmark in the whole software...
